Offer upgrades and upsells.
And more importantly: offer them consistently.

A lot of wellness professionals already have upgrades. They’re listed on a website, buried on a service menu, or sitting in a notes app somewhere. But if you’re not actively offering them—in a way that feels good to you and genuinely helpful to your clients—they’re not doing much for your income.

The Missing Piece: Consistent, Personalized Offers

Upgrades work best when they’re not generic or salesy.

This isn’t about saying, “Hey, want to spend more money?”
It’s about asking yourself:

  • Is there something extra that would help this person today?

  • Would this support what they’re dealing with right now?

  • Would it improve their results or experience?

When the answer is yes, the key is not being shy about offering it.

The goal is to identify four or five go-to upgrades you always have in your back pocket—so you’re not scrambling or overthinking in the moment.

Build Upgrades Into Your Client Journey

One of the smartest things you can do is create places where clients can upgrade without you having to say a word.

Think about:

  • Confirmation emails

  • Voicemail messages

  • Intake forms

  • Follow-up emails

  • Booking pages

These are all opportunities to plant small seeds that let clients know options are available.

Here’s what I found in my own practice:

  • About 1 out of every 4 or 5 clients said yes when upgrades were offered consistently.

  • That translated to an extra $15–$25 per upgraded client.

  • When you offer upgrades to 80–90% of clients, that adds up fast.
