Mindset Tip #1: A New Month - A New Start! ☮️❤️💆‍♀️

Here's to a fresh new month. What are your goals for this month? How will you make the most of this fresh new month?

Take 10 minutes to think about the month ahead and set some goals.

Mindset Tip #2: Face Your Fears Yes, Even the Slimy Ones 🐸

“Face your fears, Mama, you’ve got to face your fears,” my son said to me as his chubby little hands held out his latest treasure — a fat toad that I didn’t want any part of holding.

His dad must have taught him that. On that summer morning, sitting on the back steps of our farmhouse with the sun sparkling through the trees and a mist hanging over the mountains, I really didn’t want to disappoint my son, so I faced my fears — and I held that toad.

The strange thing was that as soon as I did it, I realized that my fears had pretty much been unfounded, and that holding a toad wasn’t so bad after all.

He was right, I did need to face my fears. Now I make sure that I do it every day.

You might think that being scared of toads is silly, but when was the last time you went to put in a load of laundry and found one staring up at you from the bottom of your washing machine? I used to shriek and run up the stairs — no laundry would be done until the toads were removed. I guess that’s why Santino decided that it was high time Mama faced her fears.

➡️ What’s your “toad”? What are you avoiding that might not be so scary after all?

Mindset Tip #3: Dream Bigger ⭐️

“Don’t set reasonable goals that you think you can reach – you probably do that all the time. Dream bigger. It’s often on the way to those big goals we’ve set for ourselves that we find what we truly have been looking for.”

— From Fear Driven to Fearless

Big goals = big energy. Set the kind of goals that inspire you into action.

Mindset Tip #4: This Might Sting a Little… But It’s Time to Call Out Your Excuses.

“Excuses and procrastination are the tools we use to cover up the fact that we're actually afraid.”

— From Fear Driven to Fearless

Think about it. “I don’t have time,” “I’m too tired,” “It’s just not the right moment” — they sound reasonable. But more often than not, they’re fear talking.

Fear of failure. Fear of success. Fear of what people will think.

Your job today: call out your excuses.

Then ask, what would I do if I wasn’t afraid?

Mindset Tip #5: Waiting for Motivation? Don’t. ☮️❤️💆‍♀️

You do not have to feel like marketing to do marketing… Just do the thing whether you feel like it or not.

Feelings come and go — consistency gets results.

PS Staying inspired and learning always helps me feel more inspired and motivated!

Mindset Tip #6: Perfection is Optional ☮️

Done is better than perfect.

I would give that one idea credit for probably 80% of my success.

Perfectionism is a fear in a fancy outfit. You don't need a perfect post, perfect email, or perfect website. You need to start.

Give yourself permission to make imperfect progress today. That’s where momentum lives.

Mindset Tip #7: Bored with Your Goals? Here’s Why.

Your goals might not be BIG enough to inspire you. If you're like me and you enjoy a challenge, you need goals that are big enough to feel like a challenge.

If you’re dragging your feet, it might not be fear or laziness — it might just be boredom.

Inspiration is powerful. So is excitement. Dream bigger, light your own fire, and pursue something that makes you feel truly alive.

Mindset Tip #8: Today Does Not Matter 🤔

What happens on any one day does not matter — but it does move the needle.

You don’t need to be amazing every single day — just consistent. If you show up 98% of the time, you'll be miles ahead of the person who only shows up when they "feel like it."

Don't allow an off day or even a little run of them to cause a downward spiral. You are the only one who can turn it around.

Mindset Tip #9: Sometimes We Fail 🥺

It's never a failure if you learn.

My son's wrestling coach always said, "You either win or you learn." Either way, you are getting smarter, improving, and closer to your goals.

Does knowing this take all the sting out of failure? No, but it can help us manage our thoughts, regroup, and get out there to try again!

Mindset Tip #10: Bad Day? Here’s Why It’s Totally Normal.

Life is 50/50 — so is business.

Some days are smooth, others are a mess — that’s not a failure. That’s just the 50%.

Clients cancel. Emails flop. A random bill hits your account.

When you expect things to go wrong some of the time, it doesn’t knock you off your game as hard. You learn from it, you keep going, and you don’t let one bad moment define your day or your business.

Mindset Tip #11: Redefining Productivity

If you’ve ever beat yourself up for not doing “enough,” it might be time to question your definition of productivity.

Rest can be productive. Cleaning up your digital space can be productive. Taking a break to brainstorm your next idea can be very productive.

Whatever you need to move yourself forward IS productive.

Mindset Tip #12: What If That Belief Isn’t Actually True? 🤔

A belief is just a thought you think over and over until it becomes your reality.

Your beliefs feel like truth, but most are just habitual thoughts, and YOU are in control of what you think!

If a thought isn’t serving you, you can challenge it — and choose something better.

Mindset Tip #13: Who Told You That You Weren’t Good at This? 🥺

Any belief about ‘it’s just the way I am’ that you think is a rule or fact can be challenged — especially if it’s holding you back.

Labels like “I’m bad at marketing” or “I’m not techy” are just beliefs. And they’re optional.

What would happen if you tried on something new?

Mindset Tip #14: Tired? It Might Be Your Schedule, Not Your Workload.

“Once I decluttered my schedule, I found the time I needed to grow a second business — and my life got better, fast.”

— Declutter Your Schedule

You may not need more time. You need less of what drains you and more of what lights you up.

Spend some time really investigating where your time is going, and make the changes that YOU need.

Mindset Tip #15: Time for a Mental Closet Clean-Out? 🤓

Decluttering beliefs is like cleaning out a closet… You’ll find some things you didn’t even realize you were still holding onto.

Try this: choose one outdated belief to toss today.

Make space for something that feels better and more aligned.

Mindset Tip #16: What Can You Stop Doing Today? 💡

Sometimes, we continue doing things out of habit and forget that delegation, automation, or just letting go is an option.

Let yourself release one task you don't want to do anymore today. I promise the world won't fall apart.

You don’t have to earn rest or struggle to prove anything.

Mindset Tip #17: This Belief Changed My Entire Business 📚

I believed I wasn’t good at writing… until I chose to believe I could learn.

That changed everything.

You can choose to believe that marketing is doable. That growth is possible, and that you’re capable.

Mindset Tip #18: Break the Rules. Keep the Results.

I used to think I needed quiet time and a perfect setup to write a book or work on my business, but it turns out I could do it from almost anywhere, in the car, at wrestling practice, in the little bits of time that would otherwise be wasted.

There are many ways to do anything. Question the "rules" that are slowing you down.

Mindset Tip #19: The Belief That Held Me Back for Years

Sometimes, we tell ourselves the same story so many times that we don’t even notice it anymore.

I believed that I wasn’t good at writing. That belief started in high school and stayed with me for almost 20 years. Eventually, I realized the belief was outdated, and I got to choose again.

What’s one belief about yourself that it’s time to let go of?

Mindset Tip #20: Start Here Before You Try Another Planner 🤓

If your head feels cluttered, no system, planner or new app will save your schedule — not long term.

Most of us try to make changes by doing things differently… but nothing really shifts until we declutter the thoughts and beliefs that are running in the background. Without that, it’s almost impossible to create lasting change.

Try this: Write down one belief that is keeping you stuck.

Now replace it with a stair-step belief: “I can figure things out when I give myself time and support.”

Say it out loud, write it somewhere visible, and repeat it until it starts to feel possible—because it is.

Mindset Tip #21: 21 Workdays a Year… Gone?

You don’t need more time. You need fewer time sucks.

The math doesn’t lie. Thirty minutes a day scrolling Facebook adds up to 21 full workdays per year. Grocery trips. Rechecking emails. Driving across town because you didn’t plan your week — it adds up.

What could you create if you took even half that time back?

Take time to raise awareness of where your time is going and use that new awareness to be more intentional.

Mindset Tip #22: What If You Didn’t Have to Do All the Things?

There’s power in deciding what you’re not going to do.

I finally decided to stop doing the things I didn't enjoy, like grocery shopping. I used to feel guilty for outsourcing things. But the truth is, I’m a person with limited time who’s allowed to make intentional choices.

You’re not lazy. You’re not failing. You’re just not meant to do everything.

Mindset Tip #23: Try One More Time — Or Try Something New 🤗

You can try again. You can tweak it. You can evolve.

“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

“The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”

When something works for you — lean into it.

But, when something doesn't work - try again in a different way. Opportunities are everywhere!

Is there something recent that you felt like failed? Make a NEW plan, and get back out there. Giving up is not an option.

Mindset Tip #24: Break the Rules and Watch What Happens 👀

You probably believe some things that feel like facts… but they’re just old rules you forgot to question.

I used to think I needed peace and quiet, a tidy desk, and uninterrupted time to write, which meant I barely wrote at all. But once I let go of that belief, I started working on my book in various places—like the car, with music on, while my husband was driving, the school car line, and wrestling practice. It turns out it didn’t have to look perfect. It just had to get done.

There’s more than one way to do most things. You get to decide what works.

Pick one task you’ve been putting off. Ask yourself: What “rule” do I think I have to follow to do this?

Now break it. Try a different time, place, or way — even if it’s messy.

Mindset Tip #25: Rules Are Optional Most of Them, Anyway

You probably believe some things that feel like facts… but they’re just old rules you forgot to question.

There’s more than one way to do most things. You get to decide what works.

Mindset Tip #26: What If the “Right” Way Isn’t Right for You?

There are endless ways to succeed — you don’t have to do what other people are doing.

Forget the idea that there is a way to do a thing. There are endless paths to success, and one of them will be the one that works for you.

The goal isn’t to be perfect or right — it’s to find your best way.

Write down one “should” you’ve been carrying and replace it with something that lights YOU up.

Mindset Tip #27: May Mindset Wrap-Up

The common thread through all of these mindset shifts is simple:

You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to do things the “right” way.
You don’t have to believe every thought you think.
You don’t have to wait until you feel ready.

You do have to keep going.

Dream bigger. Challenge old beliefs. Redefine productivity. Learn from failure. Let go of outdated rules. Take imperfect action.

Small mindset shifts create powerful momentum over time.
