From time to time I like to share some behind the scenes in my businesses.

So here goes:

Bookings and Networking

Today I had my first client from Airbnb, they booked a few days ago, everything went great and tomorrow I'll be paid. It took me three tries to get my profile done, first I applied as an experience for spa parties, and I was advised to apply for services. I applied under services and I was told I needed to add everyone on my team as co-hosts, and that doesn't fit my business model. So, I applied a third time with scaled back offerings - simple massage services. 

My first booking came through at $0, this was a few weeks ago. Each service has separate areas to update the pricing, and I had missed one! So I cancelled the booking and of course they understood the mix up, but they didn't rebook. 

This is what it takes sometimes! Sticking with it through the learning curve. Maybe I'll add a few enhancements later, but for now I'm going to see how it goes.

Yesterday, I followed up with a lady who owns a glamping business, we had connected in a local ladies Facebook group. I found her website and sent her a follow up email. She got right back to me and asked if I had any availability to give her and her mom a massage that very day! I went last night at 7pm, I don't usually work that late but for an extra $300 and a new referral partner I can make an exception. They loved their massages and next week I'm driving out to see her set up for the glampers. 

I try to connect with a few new people/businesses each week. Some never reply and some do! A few good referral sources is worth more than gold. 

And, my website showed up this week as well with a couples massage booking and a spa party for later this month! Let's go 🥳

What I bought:

I saw a nice looking massage table on FB marketplace for $90 and it had a carrying case which I was about to buy on amazon, so I grabbed it. It will be my second table to store at an airbnb we frequent that sleeps 26 people! It has a lot of stairs in and out so my team will be very pleased to no longer have to carry tables in and out.
