Techniques that utilize movement to persuade and elicit cooperation will be shared. Rocking, shaking, and jiggling are effective tools to loosen holding patterns. Special attention will be given to opening shoulders, hips, and neck issues. Hands-on instruction and practice will help you confidently incorporate these techniques into your sessions.

Integrating Meditation into Your Practice (2 CE’s)

Receiving a massage can be a meditation. How can we make giving one a meditation as well? Explore ways to stay calm, focused, and centered while providing treatments. Learn simple practices that help you stay present and create a peaceful environment for both you and your clients.

Ethics and boundaries don’t have to be boring!

In this interactive class, we’ll revisit professional boundaries in massage and spa practice. Instead of only focusing on how clients might cross boundaries, we’ll flip the perspective and examine how we, as therapists, might inadvertently cross our clients’ boundaries and what steps to take. We’ll cover essential ethics and boundary concepts, discuss real-world scenarios, and bring everything to life through games, roleplays, and open discussion.
